How to switch property managers in the Hutt Valley
Most owners who move to us are not angry so much as tired. Reports arrive late, rent arrears are a surprise, or the person who signed them up is no longer the person answering the phone. Switching is administrative. It does not need to be a scene.
The three steps
- Contact us. We send the information and arrange a time to talk.
- Sign the management agreement and send it back.
- Write to your current company, copy us in, and we take it from there.
We collect the documents, tell the tenant what is changing, and make sure rent keeps flowing into the trust account and out to you on the 1st and 15th. Maintenance that is already underway continues. You choose how often you want updates.
What to ask any new manager
- Who inspects, and how often?
- What does the percentage include when a tribunal claim is needed?
- Which suburbs do you actually drive to?
- Can you log in and see statements yourself?
